Managing Expectations

One of the factors that help us to be happier is managing our expectations. Having high expectation from ourselves or others affects our confidence negatively and creates perfectionism. we as a human are not perfect and expecting to do everything perfectly makes us overwhelmed and disappointed. Our expectations come from our assumptions; expecting things are happen the way we want , expecting others to behave or think the same as we do. When people’s ideas and thoughts contradicts our expectations, we feel angry and frustrated. We should understand that we are all different from each other therefor we can’t think and feel the same way. Also we have the right to make a mistake so don’t need to blame ourselves. If something is beyond our expectation, we should learn to accept it and move on. Acceptance is the best way to manage our expectations and it is the best way to feel happier.
